Web-based Solution Creates Collaborative Export Process Streamlining Denied Party Screening, License Determination and Documentation for Worldwide Shipments

ROCKVILLE, MD -- October 21, 2003 -- NextLinx Corporation, the leading provider of global trade content and management solutions, has integrated its Trade Export solution at Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. (NYSE: SFA), a leading global supplier of broadband transport systems and set-tops for cable operators, to streamline exports by creating a real-time and collaborative global trade process. By utilizing Trade Export, Scientific-Atlanta has significantly reduced administrative costs, accelerated global trade compliance and increased supply chain visibility across its global network.

Seamlessly integrated with Scientific-Atlanta's SAP ERP application, Trade Export minimizes the risk of shipment delays, fines or loss of export privileges by ensuring full regulatory trade compliance on exports to all major trading countries around the world. By managing the export process end-to-end, the Web-based solution is enabling Scientific-Atlanta to ship products from Belgium, Denmark, Canada and the United States.
