The world’s #1 direct-sale computer vendor needed to support its vision for global order fulfillment, but was faced with unknown shipping costs to markets where it did not have a local distributor, as well as higher returns when customers refused to pay the extra duty on receipt of the goods.
Solution
Dell selected the Trade Planner solution to optimize its distribution planning strategy.  By obtaining accurate duty quotes for South America , Dell was able to calculate total landed cost for each shipment, ensuring the right level of duty was paid prior to delivery of the order.
